SmartWire Studio v0.5.1
This update delivers the KNX Hardware Block Engine — contiguous group-address blocks aligned with the KNX Association (AG9) schema, ready for ETS6 multi-linking. It also adds ETS-safe change management and clearer validation when a configuration cannot be exported.
KNX block engine (ETS multi-linking)
- Hardware blocks: Switch, dim, tunable white, RGB/RGBCCT, and other trades generate contiguous KO blocks per circuit — drag the whole block onto KO 1 in ETS6 and the rest link sequentially.
- AG9 schema alignment: Main groups follow trade (Gewerk) HGs from the catalog; middle groups become room blocks (Raumblöcke) — one slot per room, max 8 rooms per main group.
- Smart defaults: Enabling the block engine automatically sets Trade + Function hierarchy and locks it while block mode is active.
- Vendor KO profiles: Built-in MDT/Gira/generic profiles plus a custom profile editor in KNX Settings.
- Variant-aware DPTs: Dim Relative (3.007), TW Kelvin (7.600), RGB Color (251.600), and trade-specific slots from one shared catalog.
KNX address preview & export
- Invalid configuration banner: Exceeding ETS limits (e.g. more than 8 rooms in one main group) shows a red error in the preview.
- Export guard: ETS XML, ETS CSV, and address CSV exports are blocked when the configuration is invalid.
- Diff & lock: Preview shows added/updated/conflict/orphaned counts; LOCKED badges after export.
- ETS CSV: Semicolon-delimited export compatible with ETS group-address import.
- Richer preview: Semantic IDs, DPT badges, koOffset, and block grouping in the address tree.
KNX settings & planning
- Block size hints: Read-only table shows minimum slots per lighting variant.
- Light → KNX variant promotion: Light detail suggests a richer KNX variant when LED type implies dim, TW, or RGB.
- KO sequence preview on controller/device panels when a vendor profile is assigned.
Fixes & reliability
- Room middle-group counter resets per main group — no false overflow warnings across trades.
- The 9th room in one HG is flagged as invalid instead of silently colliding on middle group 7.
- Group-address generation no longer mutates stored block arrays on preview/save.
- Export tab appears for all open projects (local and cloud).
Languages
- New KNX validation, block-engine, and export strings in English and German.
Tips for installers
- KNX Settings → enable Use Hardware Block Engine (3-level GA style required).
- Assign actuators and pick a vendor KO profile where multi-link order matters.
- Open KNX Addresses preview — fix any red invalid-configuration banner before export.
- Export ETS XML or ETS CSV → import in ETS6 → multi-link block to channel KO 1.
